The 民事法庭 provides legal counsel and representation to all 卡森城 elected and appointed officials, every City department and their respective managerial directors and staff, 还有很多板, commissions and committees that are required or authorized to be established pursuant to 状态 law or local ordinance.

As a consolidated municipality, 卡森城 is a unique form of government with legal and statutory duties and obligations that are common to both cities and counties. The 民事法庭 functions as general counsel for the City to ensure compliance with those requirements while also safeguarding the rights and interests of the City and its residents.

Consistent with the mission objectives of the 地方检察官, representation by the 民事法庭 encompasses at all times an ethical, 实用, and solution-oriented approach to the wide range of complex civil matters affecting government and the people who live in the community.

Dan Yu, Assistant 地方检察官

The 民事法庭 is overseen by Dan Yu, who first joined the Office of the 地方检察官 in 2016 as a Deputy 地方检察官 after nearly a decade in Nevada 状态 government as a legislative attorney and in private practice as counsel for matters relating primarily to traditional labor and employment law.

Dan was appointed Chief Deputy 地方检察官 for the 民事法庭 in 2018. In 2019, he was appointed Assistant 地方检察官. As Assistant 地方检察官, Dan continues to supervise the 民事法庭 and also serves as chief of staff for the office.

5月16日, 2016, the 卡森城 地方检察官办公室 and the Nevada Commission on 道德 presented training on Public Integrity Laws and 道德 in 政府.
